Things I am Grateful for Today - or as they say in Pollyanna - The Glad Game

* The end of the writers strike, halle – frickin – lujah. Dear Writers, please take your ¼ of penny per You Tube episode and get to work, I found myself actually watching American Gladiators the other day and wanted to poke my eyes out. It’s like when you are driving down the highway singing at the top of your lungs and all of a sudden you realize, you have been singing a Michael Bolton song (no offense to you Michael Bolton fans) and you scramble to change the channel, looking for something cool and more age appropriate. It’s not so much the fact that you were singing the song in the first place, but that you were lulled into the false sense of security to not notice that you were singing a MICHAEL BOLTON song (insert whatever shudder inducing artist you would like, but I think you know what I mean). That’s how it happens kids…they get into your heads through that demon music and then all hell breaks loose.

* That I didn’t break my neck when I tripped over my friend’s suitcase in North Carolina last weekend.

* That I am no longer in North Carolina.

* Dead presidents, live ones too, but the dead ones get a holiday.

* Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches. Delicious and no sugar added.

* Jane Austen

* My new Orange suitcase. My beautiful red suitcase was mangled to within an inch of its life by the ever so gentle luggage handlers this weekend.

* Warm baths.

* Good books – I am currently about 50 pages away from being finished with Pillars of the Earth.

* Mountains thickly layered with beautiful sparkly, white snow. Utah really is a pretty State.

Yay for things to be thankful for!

We are also big fans of Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches in this house! Chris has lost over 50 pounds since last year and he claims the Skinny Cows are part of his diet.

Sorry to hear about you damaged red suitcase. We got a cool new orange suitcase before we went to Hawaii last October and the handle came off before we even left the San Francisco airport. I guess we will be in the market for another suitcase before our next trip by airplane.

Welcome back, dear friend, and I offer my condolences on the damage to your suitcase. I hope we can see each other soon!

I LOVE Pollyanna, and I LOVE that you played The Glad Game. I'll have to do that in a future post. Still need to try a Skinny Cow...
