Friends, getting your car detailed is worth EVERY PENNY!
I went in for just your average every day upholstery cleaning and was somehow talked into a full detail. Well kind of a full detail, they didn't actually unbolt my car seats, but they did blow all the crud out from all the nooks and crannies with their high powered blow thingie. Now most of you that know me know that I am a very clean person, it is true that I religiously wash and vacuum my car once a week without fail, but there are places that just can't be reached with the vacuum hose no matter how much you may wish it to happen. And believe me I really wish it to happen. My car probably had some petrified Taco Bell cheese, toast crumbs, Ricola wrappers, and a stray Sharpie cap; nothing too gross, but enough for this obsessive compulsive to lay awake at nights devising ways to remove said items. I have even tried putting duct tape on the end of a chop stick and ala a lint brush tried to pick up the crap that way...didn't work. Now all I need to do is write a detail or two (or three or four) a year into my budget.
Anyhoo, I just wanted to share my new happiness with you. And just to make sure that I don't leave the puppies out, I have met a new dog in the complex. His name is Max and he is a short haired black and white Chihuahua mix and oh so sweet. I think his people are called Shauna and Chris, but who knows.

I LOVE that you got your car detailed! I adore the feeling of a meticulously clean vehicle. I think that most people would keep their cars longer (and enjoy them more) if they did all of the necessary oil changes and maintenance necessary AND if they totally cleaned them on a regular basis. But that's just me being soapboxy...
That's so funny you posted this because I just asked Chris to give me a gift certificate to get my car detailed for my birthday. Hopefully he buys me one!
On a side note, Chris' dad knows the name of all the dogs in their neighborhood but not their owners. So you're doing pretty good that you could at least somewhat guess on Max's parents names.
And just so you know, I am totally addicted to your blog. I got up at 5am this morning to pack because Chris and I are going to Pismo Beach/San Luis Obispo for a few days and I am playing on the internet and reading your blog instead. Maybe I should go pack now....
anyone who knows you knows that this isn't your vehicle! I actually think of you everytime I notice my dash needs to be dusted. You inspire me to new levels of auto-cleanliness!
