Why you shouldn't believe everything you read...on the internet.

Hypothetically speaking, if you wash your Blackberry in the washing machine on the hottest setting for a full wash cycle and it quits working, it may not be the best idea to google "wet Blackberry".

Also, if you do decide to google "wet Blackberry" and then proceed to submerge your phone in rice for 24 hours, don't be mad if some of that rice gets stuck in the innards of your phone making it sound like a maraca.

Hypothetically speaking how would soaking your phone in rice help a blackberry that's been thru the wash?

And just so you know Delaney loves maracas and anything that sounds like them!

Allegedly the rice is supposed to absorb any of the water and moisture that is still lingering in the phone.

I think that it might work for a quick dip in water, but not for 40 minutes submerged in water.

This happened to me a few weeks ago, but I just found out that a co-worker of mine in Texas took a swim with his iPhone and did the same thing as I did. Googled, saw the rice suggestion, and tried it. It worked out a little better for him. But his phone was still basically hosed as well.
