Let me just apologize in advance. One of two things may happen in the next few weeks. 1. You may not hear from me at all. Don't worry it is not because I am dead, but more likely due to a phenomenon I like to call the 'Olympics Coma'. You know the one where you cannot stop watching TV because you might miss that all important Table Tennis match pitting the Ukraine against Nepal?

2. You may hear from me alot. And I do mean ALOT. You know why? Because...I LOVE the Olympics. And I may feel it necessary to chat about every medal Switzerland wins. Or what the United States Opening Ceremonies outfits looked like. Or why does that stupid Prince Albert of Monaco think he can still compete at the age of 104.
So just be prepared that the next 16 days may be Feast or Famine. I will not apologize for either. Because...for me...the Olympics represent everything that is good in this world. Volunteering for the Salt Lake games was one of the most personally gratifying and life changing experiences I have ever had. Ever.
So break out the chop sticks and dig into some yummy Chinese food tonight while you watch the Opening Ceremonies. I will probably cry...but that's not really news. I also cry during the Oscars.

Not that this has anything to do with the Olympics but Delaney loves this show on Nickeloden called Ni Hao Kai Lan. It's kind of like the Chinese equivalent of Dora. It teaches her all these Chinese words and she uses them and I have no idea what she's talking about. Well they have been saying basic Chinese words on the news all week due the Olympics which is nice except that Delaney thinks it due to her show. And she was actually saying Ni Hao to people at the grocery store today instead of Hi.
Oh, and I'm excited for the Olympics too. I set up my DVR to tape the opening ceromonies tonight because Chris may do something uncalled for and try to watch some program on the History channel and I don't won't to miss it!
