Random Likes and Dislikes

Things I like...

1. MUSIC

I went to see Carmina Burana at the Utah Symphony last week- Favorite Moment: They had super titles so that those of us who do not speak Latin or Low German could understand the music. I was thoroughly amused by the following translation and the eruption of nervous giggling that it elicited - "my virginity makes me frisky". Tee Hee.

I also went to see Celtic Woman at Kingsbury Hall - Favorite Moment: Being with my Mom.

2. PELICULAS (which means movies in Spanish. Something else I like is to fancy I am multi-lingual)

I don't have time or space for long movie reviews. So I will try to keep it to a one word explanatory sentence and a one word review.

La Misma Luna (Under the Same Moon), a story about a boys dream to be reunited with his Mother in the United States. Sweet!

Die Falscher (The Counterfeiters), the true story of concentration camp workers forced to counterfeit British Pounds and American Dollars to finance the Nazi war effort. Haunting.

Baby Mama, the story of a thirty seven year old career woman who wants to have a baby, and perhaps should not have chosen the surrogate she ended up with. Funny-ish.

Iron Man, the story of a brilliant weapons manufacturer who has a change of heart and becomes a super hero of sorts. Kick A.

3. DAVID BECKHAM

Need I say more...

This picture was taken at the match vs. Real Salt Lake. If you look closely you can see that # 23 is indeed Beckham. And boy did he ever Bend It.

I just threw this next one in for kicks and giggles.

4. CHEESE
I just partook of some tasty one year old aged white cheddar. Truly Scrumptious! (not a reference to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang)

Things I dislike...

ARE you my favorite blogger or what! SO . . . I sang the entire Carmina Burana score in 1973 in All-State Texas Choir. I can still belt out parts of it (should you need a review in July when I come, I'd be happy to do so), hopefully not the part you mentioned which excited giggles. Tee Hee is exactly right. What did I know then, certainly no Latin or Low German. Hope you liked it, actually. It's killer music, huh. Love ya, Nat
