North Carolina Observations

So, I find myself in North Carolina this week. Home of Kitty Hawk, the Duke Lacrosse boys, and some other stuff I guess. I am not really sure what to do with myself this weekend. I was going to go to Washington D.C. to visit one of my favorite people on the planet, but I have been told I need to stick around. Waiting for what I am not sure, possibly for Godot? Guffman? So that leaves me with a dearth of choices...North Carolina State Fair might be nice. I do so like any kind of food on a stick.

Anyone with me on this one?

I could search for old Civil War battlefields. Nah.

Or I could catch up on all the movies I missed whilst in the Netherlands.

Methinks we have a winner!

I started by trying to go to the local Cineplex last night to see Michael Clayton (which I did see and liked) but it was hard to get through the throngs (and I do mean throngs) of people waiting to see the new Tyler Perry movie which was playing on no less than 6 screens at the same movie theater. People, I am not exaggerating for effect either, as I am known to do. This is something you would not see in Utah County.

Something else I have never seen in Utah, is a Nestle Tollhouse Cafe.

(Apparently there is a location in Logan -I know this because I just googled it -but since I have never personally seen it, it doesn't count. Yummers - warm, gooey, fresh baked cookies).

Please don't tell Ben that I have been cheating on him. Ben I still love you best. But a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.
