Baa. Ram. Ewe.

The Soldier Hollow Classic: International Sheepdog Championship was held this weekend and what a thrilling exhibition of sportsmanship it was. Who would have thought that thousands of people would descend upon sleepy little Soldier Hollow to watch dogs herd sheep. But they did, and I have the pictures to prove it. See?

And more importantly, who would have thought that I would enjoy sitting in the hot sun for hours on end watching the outrun, lift, fetch, drive, shedding, and penning. And if you don't know what I am talking about, then I guess you better start googling. :)

At any rate, the competition was an interesting diversion in what could have become just another holiday weekend spent in the local megaplex. I, of course, now think that I need my very own Border Collie. Seriously, how could you say no to this face?

That'll do, that'll do.

Funny, I was just about to email you about my weekend haps. Mostly to tell you I got really sunburned at the Sheep Dog Championship and now I itch all over, it's driving me crazy. I am glad that you read my Blog, it makes me happy to see comments to my silly postings. Dakota totally needs a border collie friend. If you get one, can we teach it to herd sheep?
