The Deer

I have been playing around with this picture.  I thought I would show you all the iterations.

Which one do you like better?  Any suggestion for other ways I can edit it?

Cropped, focal point highlighted, colors softened in spots, and sharpened in others.

This is good. I like the variations.
2 ideas:
1. What if you take the crop off more from the bottom and make it more panoramic? It might not be good for the sizing but different framing. (I was looking at the one you cropped, sharpened and changed focal point when I was thinking this.)
2. Numbered from bottom to top. I really like photo #2 and #4. What if you did a combination of these techniques? Zoom back out but soften and sharped the colors.
Just some ideas to see what they look like. I think you have done a fantastic job on these and it is fun to see that little black nose from different angles.

Good suggestions. I will play around with it a bit more. Part of my problem with it is that the deer is at the very top of the photo even in the original, so it limits the cropping a tiny bit. But I am going to try cropping more from bottom, but leaving the right side less cropped. Maybe when I come to see you, you can help me tweak it a little as well.

I think it is a great picture but it is sad he is so close to the top but that is okay. I am sure that it will not be your last encounter with wildlife at Silver Lake.
