I think I have seen every James Bond movie at least twice. My personal favorite is 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'. You know the Bond people always forget because George Lazenby only played him once? Part of what I like about this particular Bond film is that you get to understand him a little more on a personal level, and you see that he can feel real emotion. The latest Bond movie - 'Skyfall' - is also emotional; with enough retro MI6 gadgetry to keep the Bond geek like me interested, but set in a realistic time frame of cyber terrorism and political turmoil. And I must admit I got a little teary eyed in the end. There is a reason why this franchise has been so successful for 50 years, and 'Skyfall' is definitely a great testamant to the legacy of all 22 movies that came before.
Plus the Adele song is pretty great too.
So today I am grateful for James Bond, and the chance to go to the theater to escape my stressful life for a few hours.
