I am entitled to change my mind...

after all it is my blog, right?

I know I implied that I wasn't going to say who I voted for, but I have decided that I am not ashamed of my vote, so why be so secretive.

Regardless of who you voted for, I hope we are all cognizant of the fact that this is a history making event. And I hope that we can at least be proud of that.

I loved this part of his speech on the 4th.

As Lincoln said to a nation far more divided than ours, “We are not enemies, but friends…though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection.” And to those Americans whose support I have yet to earn – I may not have won your vote, but I hear your voices, I need your help, and I will be your President too.

I am interested and excited to see what the next 4 years will bring, and I for one plan to place my faith in the Lord and my hope in the American people that they made the right choice.

P.S. I will be in beautiful Southern California for the next week. And I don't plan to post anything, so check back with me in a week.

Will you be going to Disneyland next week? Is this the trip you have planned with your family?

Did you know we are spending Thanksgiving on Catalina Island and then spending the week after Thanksgiving at Disneyland! I can't wait!

Hi Melissa. Yes next week is the Disneyland trip. I am quite sad though to see that apparently they don't decorate for christmas as early as they used to. It will still be fun though.

Ooh, Thanksgiving at Catalina and then Disneyland sounds Divine. I am excited for you. You will get to see the decorations, so take a lot of pictures of your cute selves in front of christmasy things and share them with me. If you want. :)

I voted for Obama, but I too, love that he also spoke to the people who didn't vote for him...years ago, I would have voted conservative, but as I get older, I've become more liberal, as my whole family has. Great blog.

I'm so excited for you! I heard there is still a long line at the new Toy Story ride at California Adventure. You'll have to let me know how it is if you go on it!

I miss you! It's lonely without you in the blogging world. Are you home yet?
