Annaprasam is a Hindu ritual which takes place in a baby's life around the 6th month. It is the day when the baby is given his/her first taste of solid food. A co-worker of mine invited me to his Son Karan's "First Feeding" this past weekend, and it was so interesting and special. It was so nice to see how much love and warmth is part of the Indian community and culture. You get a real sense of 'welcome'. I could go on and on about how much I enjoyed the honor of being included in this event, but I would like to just to leave you with a picture of the cutest little baby boy I have seen in a long time.

What a cutie! And I know how much you love the Indian culture, so this must have made you feel super special to be able to attend. Did you tell anyone that you were born in an area with one of the largest Sikh contingent out of India?
