blah Al Gore – next time please kindly keep your opening remarks to a minimum). ONE HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES of standing in 15 degree weather was not expected nor was it pleasant; but it was utterly, entirely, and without equivocation worth every single nano second of frost bite inducing cold.
In short, ‘U2 3D’ rocked my world.
The film is the first digital 3-D, multi-camera, real time production; which when married with surround sound technology is truly something spectacular. I couldn’t close my mouth for the first five minutes or so, because I have never seen anything like it. There is a point in the film where you think that Bono is actually going to physically reach out and touch you, and not in that cheesy Disneyland ‘Honey I Shrunk the Kids’ kind of way either.
But enough about that, let’s move on to more important topics. First off, the answer to your question is Yes and No! Yes I did get a little misty and No I didn’t not pee my pants with excitement. Surprising to be sure, I mean seriously how can one be expected NOT to wet their pants when in the same room, breathing the same air, gazing upon the greatest Rock band in the world. Not to mention the object of one’s admiration and respect – Bono. In case any of you Blog lurkers did not know this about me, I LOVE Bono. And I do mean love. I leave you with these lyrics...
One love
One blood
One life
You got to do what you should
One life
With each other
Sisters
Brothers
One life
But we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other
One

I am so glad that your U2 3D viewing experience was so awesome. I really have no life and was reading PerezHilton.com yesterday and read about how he was blogging live at Sundance and I was sort of pondering if you would run into him somewhere. I know that there are celebrities all over Sundance and I am wasting my time wondering if you will see Perez Hilton. I need to get out of the house more.
I just realized there is a huge run on sentence in the last comment I left, that probably doesn't make sense. I am blaming it on the fact that Delaney got up at 5am this morning and I'm tired.
Melissa, I did indeed run into Perez, and 2 of his Perez looking wannabes. I am guessing they were his posse, or whatever the kids are calling it these days. I didn't talk to him or anything, just a walk by. I think he left town yesterday.
That's interesting that he has a posse of look alikes. Did they all have the same Flock of Seagulls inspired haircut like him? For some reason I pictured him rolling solo not with groupies.
I love that you had that experience as long as you don't suddenly come down with a deadly cold. I am currently in such condition that a wait in the cold like that would cause me to drop dead the next day (she types between hacking coughs). Please take lots of vitamin C whilst you are subjecting yourself to the elements so. As you would say, however, it is in the name of love...
Which reminds me of a Jane Austen character (quote from a film, not from the book):
"To die for love?! What would be more glorious?"
Melissa, I was surprised to see Perez rolling with homies too. And yes, as you so wisely guessed, they all had the same genre of hair.
Dianna, I am so sorry to hear you are sick. I have been getting over bronchitis for the last 2 weeks so I can empathize. Can I do anything for you?
Heather! I found some art that reminds me of you because a) it is beautiful and b) it is made from TINY THINGS!!! How cool is that??
Go to http://www.etsy.com and search on "lushbella"
Hope all is well Sundancing!
